Mr. King’s practice focuses on commercial and business litigation, as well as securities litigation and arbitration. In his commercial litigation practice, he has assisted clients in a wide array of business disputes spanning a number of different industries, including litigation between franchisees and franchisors; disputes between members, partners and shareholders; claims involving unfair trade practices and other business torts; construction disputes; and succession litigation involving succession representatives, heirs, legatees and trustees. In his securities practice, Mr. King has represented individual and institutional investors in disputes against financial advisors, investment banks, broker-dealers, and other financial firms.
Spencer graduated cum laude from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was the recipient of the John P. Laborde Scholarship. During law school, Spencer was a member of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources in which he had two student articles published. He has also assisted in editing and drafting the legal treatise entitled Litigating Business and Commercial Tort Cases (West 2014). Spencer served as a judicial intern to Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He received his B.A. in history from Texas Christian University.
